SBR stands for styrene-butadiene rubber, is a synthetic rubber commonly produced worldwide. Styrene-butadiene or styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) describe families of synthetic rubbers derived from styrene and butadiene.

Styrene-butadiene rubber generally offers superior heat-ageing properties and abrasion resistance than natural rubber. It is widely used in the production of tire tape, hose, wires, cables, medical instruments and various rubber products. It is the largest generic synthetic rubber variety and one of the earliest rubber varieties to achieve industrial production.
